About Meredith

"In the middle of the journey of our life,
I found myself in a dark wood where the straight way was lost."
-Dante's Divine Comedy
I too was once lost.

I became a trauma coach for three reasons:

1) To provide to others the help that saved me.
2) To listen to and analyze stories (my greatest gift).
3) To witness people transform from vulnerable to empowered (the deepest honor).

I love learning about trauma recovery more than anything else in the world! I stay up to date with the most cutting-edge research by attending workshops and conferences on trauma treatment several times a year. I also attend therapy and therapeutic retreats to remember what it feels like to be on the receiving end.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of traumas do you work with?
I work with "capital-T" clinical PTSD as well as "lower-case-t" subclinical traumas. Some of the issues I commonly see include:Childhood abuse and neglect, Emotional abuse, Attachment wounds, Incest, Sexual violence, Immigration and racism, Genocide, Birth trauma, Medically complex children, Postpartum depression, Childhood wounds surfacing after becoming a parent, Narcissistic partner or parent.

How do I work with you?
The best route is to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consult below and see if it feels like the right fit for both of us.
Regular sessions are 75-minutes, and 60-minute slots are available by request. I'm available anywhere in the world via video. I operate on MT (Mountain Time Zone). I also work in person in Boulder & Gold Hill, Colorado.

I'm worried my trauma is too intense, or not intense enough!
Clients often ask if their story will be "too intense" or if they're "scaring" me. I began my career working with genocide survivors (and perpetrators) in Rwanda, so the answer is no: I'm not scared of you or of what you've gone through. You can bring whatever you are carrying and trust that it will be safe with me.

Other clients worry that what they're experiencing doesn't count as trauma. Even if your experience doesn't meet clinical criteria for PTSD, the trauma treatment modalities I use are helpful at restoring nervous system regulation, ridding your mind of shame and low self-esteem, and restoring connections with who and what you love.
